NEW DELHI: Displeasure over not being permitted to take up the issue of Chinese transgression in the Arunachal Pradesh border in Parliament, the Opposition floor leaders have determined to meet on Thursday and deliberate on further strategy amid talks of both the Houses being adjourned sine-die on Friday. Sources said the meeting will take place at the office of the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. The Opposition MPs' adjournment notice in the Lok Sabha and suspension of business notice in the Upper House have been denied by the Chair. Meantime, Congress member Manish Tewari gave another adjournment notice on Thursday. "That this House does suspend Zero Hour and other businesses of the day to have a detailed talk over on the grave situation at the border with China in the Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh. This is the first physical clash between the two armies since August 2020 which took place at Rinchen La in eastern Ladakh," the notice read. Lok Sabha adjourned till 12 noon amid protests by Opposition: Meanwhile, Question Hour proceedings were lost for the second day in a row on Thursday, when the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon amid commotion in the House by the Opposition over the issue of the recent Chinese transgressions in Arunachal Pradesh. Minutes after the proceedings started and Speaker Om Birla called for Question Hour to begin, Opposition members led by the Congress, raised their demand for a discussion on the matter. Amid the repeated commotion, the Speaker at 11.10 am, adjourned the proceedings of the lower house till 12 noon. On Wednesday also, Question Hour proceedings were lost to the commotion in the House as the Opposition protested, seeking discussion on the China issue.
