Corona continue wreaking havoc in Odisha, 1410 dead

Bhubaneswar: The total corona cases have crossed three lakhs in Odisha on Saturday after 1372 more cases reported on Saturday. With 17 fresh cases death toll reaches to 1410. A health department official said that a total of 3,00,140 cases have been registered in the entire state.

He said that out of 1372 new patients, 796 cases were reported from the quarantine camp and the rest were found during tracing. The official said that the maximum number of 145 cases have been reported from Khurda district, which falls in the capital Bhubaneswar. After this, 121 cases have been registered from Cuttack, 108 from Nuapada. The Health Department said on Twitter that 17 patients infected with Corona died. Khurda district has the highest number of deaths at 245. After this, 231 patients lost their lives in Ganjam and 118 in Cuttack.

13,503 patients are undergoing treatment for infection in the state while 2,85,174 patients have become infection free. The official said that the rate of infection in the state is 6.14 percent. He said that 48.88 lakh samples have been investigated so far. Of these, 50,385 samples were examined on Friday.
