Locusts continue to wreak havoc, creature arrived to attack the crop of this country

These days many states of India are troubled by grasshopper attacks. At the same time, in East Africa, a number of billions of locusts have attacked the barren land of northern Somalia. According to the report, this locust attack in some places of East Africa has proved to be the most frightening in 70 years. Faced with a severe hunger problem, this attack of hungry locusts on more than one crore people of this region has proved to be like 'leprosy in khaj'. The danger can be gauged from the fact that Somalia has declared this crisis a national disaster.

Regarding this matter, the report said that the grasshopper teams are flourishing at one of the worst places on earth. They have been attacked in most parts of Somalia, south of the semi-autonomous Puntland. The area is under the occupation of Al Qaeda-affiliated Al Shabaab extremist organization. This is why it is difficult to spray air in areas. Experts say that air spraying is the only way left to control the locust. At the same time, the head of United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lokock said that if this problem is not controlled, then it will be the most devastating attack in the whole region.

For your information, let us tell you that the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization spokesperson Alberto Trillo Barca said that the world needs to know where it is starting. If measures are not taken soon, they will reach neighboring Kenya and Ethiopia. Climate experts have attributed the increase in number of locusts to the extraordinary rains and the storm that hit Somalia in December. With strong winds, grasshopper teams coming from the Arabian Peninsula and other parts are now destroying Somalia's crops. Experts have warned that if these are not controlled, their number will increase by 500 times by June.
