Ozone gas which is also known as life-saving gas can be used to disinfect surfaces. An Israeli study has found that it can disinfect surfaces from contamination by corona. The study published in the journal Environmental Chemistry Letters said that surfaces can be sanitized after short exposure to low concentrations of ozone gas. The study said that the advantage of the gas over liquid disinfectants, such as alcohol and bleach, is its ability to treat entire rooms, including hard-to-reach places. According to The researchers, the method involves inexpensive and readily available technology, which can be utilized to disinfect hospitals, schools, hotels, and even aircraft and entertainment halls. Ozone is gas form can be produced synthetically indoors, has already been used as an antibacterial and antiviral agent in water treatment. Meanwhile, according to Johns Hopkins University, the total number of global coronavirus cases has topped 109.8 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 2.42 million.In its latest update on Thursday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 109,885,555 and 2,429,669, respectively.
