PAKvSL: This cricketer scored a century in the first two Test matches of his career, made a new record

In the ongoing second Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, opener Abid Ali has set a new record by scoring a century. He has also made a place in the list of legendary batsmen with his century. This was the second Test match for the Pakistani batsman and he scored a century in both his initial matches. With this, he has become the first Pakistani player to score a century in two consecutive matches.

Abid achieved this feat on the third day of the second match against Sri Lanka on Saturday. Abid, 32, took two runs with a sweep shot off the spinner Lasith Ambuldenia and did this feat in his name. Earlier, in his debut test at Rawalpindi, he played an unbeaten innings of 109 runs which was a draw. On the third day, in the second innings, Pakistan performed brilliantly and scored 395 runs at the loss of two wickets and took a lead of 315 runs. For Pakistan, Salami batsman Shaan Masood and Abid Ali together shared 278 runs for the first wicket. Both players completed their centuries.

According to the media report, Abid had become the first batsman to score a century in Test and ODI debut with a century in the debut test in Rawalpindi. He scored 112 runs in his first ODI against Australia in Dubai earlier this year. In this case, former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin made three in the first three Tests after his debut against England at home ground in December 1984. Had scored a century. Yasir Hameed of Pakistan had scored a century in both innings of his first Test match and Wajahatullah Vasti had scored centuries in both innings of the second Test. That is, these two batsmen had also scored two centuries in their first two Test matches.
