Islamabad: Shahbaz Sharif, brother of former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, has been arrested today. Shahbaz Sharif was accused of money laundering. Shahbaz Sharif was booked in a $42 million money laundering case in the past. He had filed a bail plea in the Lahore court but on Monday did not accept the petition, after which he was taken to rest. Shahbaz Sharif is currently the leader of Pakistan's opposition, in the absence of Nawaz Sharif, the head of the PML (N) and also the CM of Punjab province. In this case, in addition to Shahbaz Sharif, his two sons were also booked. Shahbaz Sharif's family is accused of making 177 suspicious transactions. NAB has 25,000 pages of evidence against them. A total of 16 people, including 6 members of Shahbaz Sharif's family, have been booked in the entire case. Nawaz Sharif has already been found guilty in a corruption case. He has been out of Pakistan for quite some time and has been living in London. Nawaz Sharif is to appear before the court but he is not coming back.
