Election campaigns have filled the air of Pakistan. The elections have been scheduled for Wednesday, to choose the new Prime Minister of the country. It would be the 11th time for Pakistan to conduct its General Elections. To inform you, it was in 1970, that Pakistan conducted its very first General elections. is all set to go for the polls to elect a new prime minister on Wednesday. The country will hold its 11th general election since 1970 today. This is also the second time that the country would conduct an uninterrupted democratic selection of the Prime Minister in its history of 70 years. There have been a lot of speculations regarding the participation of individuals that have had criminal records and are named among the most wanted terrorists of the world. There has been a lot of campaigning by the different parties, including Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan's Peoples Party(PPP). There is an extremely tough competition between PTI which has been headed by Imran Khan and PML-N which has been headed by Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Pakistani state of Pakistan. Another competitor to the two leading parties is Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who is the head of PPP. In case none of the parties receive a perfect majority, then the role of PPP would become extremely important in deciding the Future of Pakistan by forming a Coalition. The voting has already commenced at 8 am and would conclude by 6 pm at about 85,000 polling stations across the country.
