'Pakistan has right to respond to the war threats' Pak Army General warns India of surprise response

Islamabad: Accusing India of sending war threats and surprise response by Pakistan, Major General Asif Ghafoor, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Pakistan has a right to respond if New Delhi mounts an attack. Reacting on talks in India that Pakistan is preparing for war.

Speaking to the media Pakistani General Asif said, “We're not preparing for war. It's you (India) who is sending war threats. We're not preparing for initiating a war but we have a right to respond to the war threats from your side.” He also said that Pakistan was capable of giving a befitting response which would surprise India if war is imposed.

Ghafoor further said that Islamabad had nothing to gain from Pulwama attack and added that the person responsible for the suicide bombing was a local who grew tired of India’s highhandedness in the valley.  He also said that the Indian government should demand an explanation from its security forces before pinning blame on Pakistan for attacks in Kashmir.

As per reports, Pakistan PM Imran Khan on Friday authorised the military to respond decisively and comprehensively to any aggression or misadventure by India,

The tension between India and Pak has increased after Pulwama terror attack which led to the death of 40 CRPF soldiers when explosives-laden SUV rammed into their convoy. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad took responsibility for the attack.
