Paracanoe athlete Prachi Yadav has managed to create history by becoming the first Indian to win a bronze medal in the women's VL 2 200m event of the ongoing Paracano World Cup in Ponjanan, Poland. Reports say that Prachi has won the bronze medal with a time of 1:04.71 seconds. Not only that, she has fallen behind Canadian silver medallist Briana Hennessy (1:01.58s) and gold medalist Suzanne Seppell of Australia (1:01.54s). It has also seen India's best performance in the competition which starts from May 26 and ends on Sunday. Manish Kaurav (KL Men's 200m) and Manjeet Singh (VL2 Men's 200m) have managed to make it to the finals of their events, which is the first time in the history of the tournament. Jaideep had qualified for the semi-finals of the Vl3 men's 200m event but has not been able to go beyond it. Earlier, there were reports that India's star shooter Avani Lekhara has been awarded the Best Female Debut award at the Paralympic Awards 2021 on Thursday.
