'Party karke raat ko baithke baatein karte the' Sunil Grover on working with Salman in Bharat

Salman Khan and Katrina kaif’s upcoming film Bharat is making quite buzz since the release of its trailer. Besides Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, who has already made his mark in the television playing comic characters like Gutthi in Comedy Nights With Kapil, and Dr Mashoor Gulati in The Kapil Sharma Show, will be seen in a first big-budget Bollywood film this Eid. But besides that, the actor recently spoke about the film and also opened up about his co-star Salman Khan.

 Talking about he was offered the role as Salman’s best friend, Sunil told DNA,  “The team of Bharat offered me the role. Salman sir has always been nice and cordial with me, and complimented me. And now, it feels wonderful to be part of a film like Bharat with such a big star. Actually, I feel lucky.”

The actor further shared about working with Salman and said, “I felt intimidated because he has such an aura, he is a big star! So, initially, it was difficult to work with him as an actor.”

However, Sunil reveals that “We had a couple of parties. Party karke raat ko baithke baatein karte the! Those were our workshops,” he said.

Sunil also talked about whether or not he has a comic role. He said, “At some points there is laughter, but it’s not the character who makes you laugh, the situations are such that it will make you laugh.”

Talking about Bharat, it revolves around a man named Bharat who was born during Independence. The film revolves around his and the nation’s journey together. It is set to hit theatres on June 5 this year.
