Parvez Musharraf will face trial in Benazir Bhutto assassination case

Islamabad: Former military ruler of Pakistan Parvez Musharraf has said that he will return home to face trial in the case of assassination of then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

It is noteworthy that a Pakistani court had named Musharraf as a fugitive on Thursday in connection with the 2007 Benazir murder case.

Musharraf in a statement issued to the media today said that the decision of the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorist Court is not against him. He said, when I will be completely healthy, then I will definitely return to Pakistan and will face trial.

I have been implicated in this matter, while I have nothing to do with this painful death. In this case, he is accused of murder and criminal conspiracy. He is in self-reliance in Dubai
