Dubai to launch automatic drones in July 2017

Dubai officials have announced that the launch of automatic ‘’pilotless’’ Drone at the World Government Summit.

The drone can travel at speeds up to 100 miles an hour and will be equipped to carry 1 passenger weighing up to 100kg. It can operate in an area of up to 50km.

It is the fast way to transport organ. Regular passenger trips will commence in less than five months, in July 2017.

The ruler of the country, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said last April that by 2030, he wanted to see 25 percent of all the trips taken in Dubai to be made by driver fewer cars.

The country already has a driverless rail service used by millions of passengers a year, and so the switch to autonomous cars and now drones, may not be too much of a stretch especially as the United Arab Amirates has cash to burn.

China made autonomous aerial vehicle Ehang 184 AAV, has already successfully made test flights.
