New Delhi: State-controlled oil marketing companies kept retail petrol and diesel prices unchanged for a second day on Thursday across major cities of the country. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel are selling for Rs 77.87 a litre and Rs 70.86 per litre, as per data available with Indian Oil Corp website. Similarly, petrol is retailing at Rs 75.02 per litre and diesel can be availed at Rs 61.49 a litre in Chennai, no change in price as against Wednesday’s rates. Citizens in Kolkata have to shell out Rs 74.33 for a litre of petrol while diesel retailed at Rs 69.43 per litre. In Noida also, petrol price remained stagnant at Rs 71.75 and diesel price at Rs 66.58. In Gurugram, petrol, diesel prices remained stable at Rs 72.37 and Rs 66.76 respectively. also read Loot Lo! On Thursday, in the international oil market, crude prices went higher as OPEC initiated supply cuts and US curbs against exporters Venezuela and Iran. International Brent crude oil futures were trading at USD 66.36 per barrel, up 37 cents, or 0.6 per cent, from their last close.
