Petrol-diesel prices may increase after lockdown opens

The government of Assam, Delhi, Chennai, Haryana, Punjab, UP and Uttarakhand had decided to increase the prices of petrol and diesel by increasing VAT. According to sources, the oil companies will resume daily review of petrol and diesel prices after the lockdown is lifted.

However, the price of petrol and diesel has not changed today. Today, customers will have to pay only the Monday price for one liter of petrol and diesel. According to the IOCL, the price of one liter of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai is 71.26, 76.31, 73.30 and 75.54 per liter respectively. Talking about diesel, its price in the said metros is Rs 69.39, 66.21, 65.62 and 68.22 respectively.
