New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were cut by 30-32 paise on Saturday. Post today's price revision, petrol became cheaper by up to 30 paise while diesel price cut by up to 32 paise across major cities in the nation. Petrol price in the national capital Delhi slashed 29 paise from Rs 69.55 to Rs 69.26 per litre. On the other hand Diesel in the national capital is being sold at Rs 66.32 down 30 paise.
In the financial capital Mumbai, petrol prices came on Rs 75 mark after the rate cut. Petrol is retailing here at Rs 74.89 compared to Rs 75.18 on Friday while Diesel price witnessed a cut of 32 paise and is now priced at Rs 66.25 per litre.
In Kolkata, Petrol is priced at Rs 71.37 per litre compared to 71.65 on Friday while Diesel rate cut 30 paise to Rs 65.07 per litre. In Chennai petrol price went down below Rs 72 mark after rate cut of 31 paise whereas diesel price fell below Rs 67 mark as well. Petrol is being retailed at Rs 71.85 and diesel at Rs 66.84 per litre on Saturday.
Worth mention here International crude oil prices dropped on Friday ahead of the New Year holiday as international crude benchmarks moved towards their lowest levels in more than a year.
