If we talk about the main metros of the country, then petrol is being sold in Delhi at Rs 80.73 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.56. The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 87.45 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 80.11 per liter. In the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata, petrol is Rs 82.30 and diesel is Rs 77.06 per liter. Petrol is available in Chennai for Rs 83.87 and diesel for Rs 78.86. Similarly, petrol is being sold in Noida at Rs 81.34 and diesel at Rs 73.87. Oil marketing companies fix petrol and diesel prices every day after reviewing prices. Meanwhile, there is news that there has been a huge decline in fuel consumption in July compared to June. Fuel consumption fell to 15.67 million tonnes in July 2020. Compared to July-2019, a decline of 11.7 per cent has been reported, with 17.75 million tonnes of fuel being consumed in the same period last year.
