What happened in petrol-diesel prices? know today's rate

New Delhi: Oil companies have not revised the prices of petrol and diesel today. Yesterday, diesel prices were hiked by 11 paise a litre in the national capital. Petrol is selling at Rs 82.08 and diesel at Rs 73.16 per litre in Delhi on Tuesday. The prices of diesel were lower on Thursday for the first time in about six months.

According to Indian Oil's website, petrol prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai on September 8, 2020 have been 82.08, 88.73, 83.57 and 85.04 per litre respectively. In Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, the price of petrol has been 73.16, 79.69, 76.66 and 78.48 per litre respectively.

The prices of petrol and diesel change every day based on the price of crude in the global market with foreign exchange rates. Oil marketing companies fix the rates of petrol and diesel daily after reviewing the prices. Indian oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum issue changes in the rates of petrol and diesel at 6 am every day.
