Petrol and diesel sold most expensive in Madhya Pradesh after Rajasthan

Bhopal: The state which is selling the most expensive petrol and diesel after Rajasthan, then it is Madhya Pradesh. In Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol has come to 96.59 and diesel to 86.70 rupees per litre. The price of petrol in Bhopal has been increased to Rs 94.20 and diesel to Rs 84.48 per litre. Such a situation persists due to the continuous rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market.

The increase in the price of petrol and diesel is going on continuously since May 2019. In the year 2019, in the month of May, there was Rs 77.79 a litre of petrol and Rs 68.49 a litre of diesel. The progress is increasing and the general public is not even able to know why this is happening. The price of petrol and diesel has increased seven times in the last 10 days. It is being said that the main reason behind this increase is the tax being levied by the Madhya Pradesh government. After Rajasthan, it is the Madhya Pradesh government which collects the highest VAT in the country.

38% VAT on petrol and 28% on diesel is being taken in MP. The price of crude oil in the international market has been $ 56 per barrel. According to market experts, the prices of crude oil have increased in the international market following the trends regarding the Corona vaccine. On the other hand, apart from the increase in petrol and diesel prices, the prices of food items have also increased.
