New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices did not change for the tenth consecutive day on Monday. Diesel prices were declining on October 1 and 2. The price of diesel remained steady for the last nine days and the price of petrol continued for the 20th consecutive day today. Diesel has become cheaper by more than three rupees per litre in the last month. The demand for crude oil has not increased so far due to coronavirus in the world. According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing sector company, petrol is selling at Rs 81.06 per litre in Delhi today while diesel is selling at Rs 70.46 per litre. Petrol remained steady at Rs 87.74 per litre and diesel at Rs 76.86 per litre in Mumbai, the country's economic capital. In Kolkata, petrol is selling at Rs 82.59 per litre and diesel at Rs 73.99 per litre. In Tamil Nadu, Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 84.14 per litre and diesel at Rs 75.95 per litre. Petrol is selling at Rs 83.69 per litre and diesel at Rs 74.63 per litre in Bangalore. Let us say that the price of diesel has fallen by about Rs. 1 in the last 14 days.
