New Delhi: On Friday, Petrol prices fell across the country while oil marketing companies kept diesel prices unchanged on Wednesday. In major cities of the country, petrol price fell by 6 paise per litre. In the national capital Delhi, petrol is sold at Rs 70.38 per litre as compared to Rs 70.44 a litre on Thursday while diesel is stable at Rs 65.56 a litre, according to data from Indian Oil Corporation website. However after today’s rate revision, in Mumbai, the retail prices of petrol and diesel are Rs 76.02 a litre and Rs 68.65 a litre respectively. Petrol was sold at Rs 76.08 a litre while the price of diesel was Rs 68.65 per litre in Mumbai on Thursday. While Citizens in Kolkata have to pay Rs 72.49 for a litre of petrol while diesel price is unchanged at Rs 67.34 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is sold at Rs 73.05, down 6 paise compared to yesterday’s price of Rs 73.11 a litre, and diesel is sold at Rs 69.25 a litre. Here the retail prices of petrol in Noida and Gurugram are at Rs 70.29 and Rs 71.30 respectively, down 5 paise against Thursday’s price .
