Petrol and diesel prices have gone up again today after a day's stay in the country. Petrol and diesel prices have increased by 19 paise today. After which the price of one litre of petrol in the capital Delhi has now gone up to 95.56, the highest ever. On the other hand, the price of one litre of diesel is 86.47. Petrol and diesel have become costlier for the 22nd time since May 4 this year. Petrol has now reached historic highs in different parts of the country. Petrol has crossed Rs 100 per litre in six states and Union Territories including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Ladakh. In Mumbai, one litre of petrol is now getting Rs 101. Rajasthan imposes the highest VAT on petrol and diesel in the country. It is followed by Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mumbai is the first metropolitan city in the country where petrol reached above Rs 100 per litre on May 29. Petrol is currently Rs 101.71 and diesel rs 93.77 per litre in Mumbai. This is the 22nd time that the price of petrol, diesel has increased since 4th May this year. The price of petrol has increased by Rs 5.15 and diesel by Rs 5.74 per litre. Oil companies fix prices in the domestic market every day based on the average of the last 15 days in the international market.
