Kolkata: The state's ruling TMC has won a landslide victory in the May 2 assembly election results in West Bengal. But as soon as the news of the victory came to light, the state has witnessed heavy looting, violence, and arson, which are still continuing. Several BJP workers and supporters were reported killed and injured during the violence. At the same time, there has been a demand for a CBI inquiry into the violence and a report on the action taken by the state government. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi has called Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to express concern and sorrow over the law and order situation. This information was given by Governor Dhankhar in a tweet. Governor Dhankhar said, "PM Modi called. He has expressed his serious anguish and concern over the law and order situation in Bengal. I share serious concerns with CM Mamata Banerjee.
