NEW DELHI: In his speech commemorating the 77th Independence Day atop the Red Fort's ramparts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the prevailing inflation within the nation and provided assurance that his administration is resolutely committed to mitigating the repercussions of surging prices. He underscored the determination to conscientiously tackle this issue and remarked, "Inflation is a global challenge, and India, too, grapples with it. Nevertheless, we are steadfast in our resolve to alleviate the weight of escalating prices." Furthermore, he stated, "Our administration has adeptly managed inflation." He articulated, "The world is yet to fully rebound from the aftermath of the pandemic. The pandemic has triggered another dilemma: the predicament of inflation. Inflation has taken hold of economies worldwide... It is regrettable that along with essential imports, we also import inflation.
