BHOPAL: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday to address a grand assembly of BJP workers known as the 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh.' Accompanying him was Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who joined the Prime Minister at the Jamboree Maidan. Before delivering his speech at Jamboree Maidan, PM Modi paid his respects to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The stadium buzzed with anticipation as people displayed posters and enthusiastically waved to welcome the Prime Minister. The stadium was abuzz with a sizable crowd of BJP workers and supporters, holding placards to greet the Prime Minister. Over the past few weeks, the BJP has been organizing yatras, a mass-contact program, from five different locations in Madhya Pradesh, ahead of the upcoming assembly polls later this year. PM Modi's address at the 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh' marked the culmination of these yatras. This gathering, known as the 'Karyakarta Mahakumbh,' was held in commemoration of the birth anniversary of party ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay. Earlier on September 15, PM Modi laid the foundation stones for various projects totaling more than Rs 50,700 crore in Madhya Pradesh, a state preparing for crucial elections. These projects included a Petrochemical Complex and ten new industrial ventures spread across the state. Among the projects initiated were the 'Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone' in the Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, and six new industrial areas throughout the state. PM Modi emphasized that the Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery would contribute to making the nation 'Atmanirbhar' or self-reliant. Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states scheduled to hold assembly elections later this year. The BJP has already unveiled its first list of 39 candidates for the 230-member state assembly.
