New Delhi [India], Feb 11: Nation Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a community event in Dubai this morning where he interacted with the Indian expatriates at the Dubai Opera. Following his interaction, he met with the business leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The prime minister delivers a keynote address at the World Government Summit on the theme: 'Technology for development' PM Modi meets Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai. PM added "Some 200 years ago, 94% of the world's one billion population lived in poverty. In the last 25 years, maternal mortality has fallen by one-third and by half in the world. Scientific advances have made these possible" PM Modi said at the World Government Summit. He also added “Dubai is an example for the world. For development, Dubai is a great driver of technology. It has converted a desert into an ocean, a miracle feat” PM Modi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum held talks on expanding our cooperation in trade & investment, defence & security and people-to-people contacts, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. India has set a target to generate 175 gigawatt (GW) renewable energy. In the last three years, 62 GW renewable energy generated. I feel that the next technology revolution will be linked to the power of the sun (renewable energy). India's Mars orbiter mission has seen success greater than what they show in Hollywood (sci-fi) movies.
