NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan at 11 a.m. today. The Prime Minister acknowledged that drone technology can be used for several governance-related initiatives, and he is proud that everything is made in the United States. In his speech, PM Modi stated, "We can take several initiatives in the area of governance based on this (drone technology)." But I will say that today was a pleasant experience. "I am proud to say that everything is manufactured in India." He went on to say that farmers are now using drones and that there are several startups in the space, and he congratulated the 150 drone pilots who had received certificates. "The enthusiasm seen in India regarding drone technology is amazing," the PM said. It indicates the potential of an emerging sector of job creation in India." In a video shown during the event, the Prime Minister is heard saying, "Drone technology can perform the most difficult tasks in less time." Drones have the ability to travel to places that humans cannot." "This is just the beginning," he added. We cannot stop here; we must become a leader in drone technology." He also encouraged the youth to take advantage of the new PLI scheme for drones. Jyotiraditya Scindia (Civil Aviation), General (Retired) Dr VK Singh (MoS for Civil Aviation), Giriraj Singh, Mansukh Mandaviya (Health), Ashwini Vaishnaw (Railways and Communications), Narendra Singh Tomar (Agriculture), and Bhupendra Yadav (Environment) were also present.
