Ghaziabad: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 50th Raising Day of Central Industrial Security Force at CISF Camp at Indirapuram in Ghaziabad. Addressing the CISF personnel at the gathering, PM Modi said, "Your achievement is important because when our neighbour is hostile, incapable to fight a war, conspiracies to hit the nation internally find a safe haven there and terrorism shows its face in different forms, then protecting the nation becomes challenging." It is to be noted that lauding the efforts of the CISF personnel, PM Modi said, "CISF plays an important factor in fulfilling the dreams of an independent India." He further said, "Easier to protect individual but difficult to protect institution where there is daily footfall of 30 lakh." During his speech, the Prime Minister also said, "If the citizens do not cooperate with you, then your (CISF's) task become more difficult. "The CISF personnel have carried out their responsibilities not only at a time of national crisis but even during the time of humanitarian crisis in other countries," he said. Earlier, PM Modi had met the personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) and the Border Security Force (BSF) at their base camps. The CISF, which functions under the Union Home Ministry, is one of the six paramilitary forces in the country. It celebrated its Golden Jubilee this year. It was established in 1969.
