Kochi: Vinayak M Mallil, a resident of Kerala, was very happy when PM Narendra Modi called him on Sunday to top the commerce subjects in the CBSE Class XII examination. The PM said to Vinayak, "Well done Vinayak, well done! How is Josh?" Vinayak replied, "High Sir" to this question. The student's father works as a daily wage laborer and he is a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, located 70 km away. Discussion of PM and student Vinayak has been broadcast on the radio on Sunday during Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" event. Vinayak, a student living in a village on the border of Ernakulam districts, said that when he came to know that the PM's call was received, he was very happy about hearing this. Vinayak said, "It was the happiest moment." During the discussion, the PM asked Vinayak a question on how many states he has traveled, Vinayak said, "Kerala and Tamil Nadu only". When the PM invited topper to come to Delhi, student Vinayak replied that he is applying for higher education at Delhi University. When the PM asked Vinayak what message he would like to give to the students giving board exams in the future, the student said, "Hard work and proper use of time". in response to the question of PM Modi, Vinayak said that he has been playing badminton often and he has received training from the school for its sport. Vinayak has scored 493 out of 500 in commerce subjects.
