PM Modi gives slogan of 'more crop per drop' to farmers in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the extended portion of the first phase of the Chennai Metro Rail in Tamil Nadu today. He has also laid the foundation stone for various projects in different areas including railways. In such a situation, he also addressed the event held in Chennai. In this address, he said, 'This city is full of energy and enthusiasm. It is a city of knowledge and creativity. From here, we undertake major infrastructure projects. These projects symbolize innovation and indigenous development. The infrastructure projects inaugurated in Tamil Nadu on Sunday are symbolic of innovation and indigenous development.'

Along with this, he also said, 'Water conservation is not just national, but a global issue.' At the same time, he also gave the slogan 'Per drop, more crop'. During this address, he also recalled the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama attack. Remembering martyrs, he said, 'Two years ago, on this day, the Pulwama attack took place. We pay tribute to all those martyrs whom we lost to terrorists. We are proud of our security forces. Their bravery will continue to inspire generations. Our armed forces have proved time and again that they are fully capable of protecting our motherland.'

Also praising the farmers of Tamil Nadu, PM Modi said, "I want to commend the farmers of Tamil Nadu for food production and good use of water resources. Today India is one of the world's largest infra drives. Right now At the same time, we have started a campaign to connect all villages with internet connectivity.'' At the same time, he also said, "We will continue to work towards making our armed forces the most modern force in the world. At the same time, the focus will move rapidly towards making India self-reliant in the defense sector."
