NITI Aayog meeting under leadership of PM Modi today, Amarinder-Mamata likely to skip

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will participate in the sixth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog through video conferencing today. According to the Prime Minister's Office, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, human resource development, grassroots related services, health, and nutrition will be discussed in this meeting.

On behalf of the Prime Minister's Office, it has been said that this meeting will be attended by PM Modi along with CMs of States and Union Territories and Lieutenant Governors of other UTs. Ladakh will participate in this meeting for the first time after becoming a union territory. The meeting will also include the participation of Jammu and Kashmir. This time other union territories headed by administrators have also been invited.

However, Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh will also not attend the NITI Aayog meeting today. Punjab CM Captain isn't feeling well due to which he will not attend the meeting. Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal will attend the meeting in his place. Apart from CM Amarinder, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee will also not attend this meeting. However, the information given by the sources does not state any reason for Mamata not attending the meeting.
