PM Modi wishes people of Nagaland on statehood day

New Delhi: On Wednesday, December 1,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the people of Nagaland a happy statehood day and said they are making significant contributions to the country's prosperity. Greetings to the great people of Nagaland on the occasion of Nagaland's Statehood Day. PM  Modi stated, "Naga culture personifies valour and compassionate principles." "The people of Nagaland contribute significantly to India's development. In the years ahead, I pray for Nagaland's progress," PM Modi said.

Nagaland, a northeastern border state, is a varied region with numerous tribes. On December 1, 1963, it became a state.

Nagaland joined the Indian Union as the 16th state on December 1, 1963. The statehood of Nagaland was the result of significant sacrifices made by the state's founding fathers, who strengthened the state's sociopolitical-administrative character.
