New Delhi: PM Modi attended the Somnath Temple Trust meeting through video conferencing. In a tweet, PM Modi said, "We discussed a wide range of issues related to the temple. During the Corona period, we included more devotees in prayer through technology. Veteran leaders Lal Krishna Advani, PM Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah attended the meeting". All the 32 accused including Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi have been acquitted by the CBI court in the Babri Masjid demolition case. This was Lal Krishna Advani's first meeting after he was acquitted by the court. Somnath Temple Trust is a board of trustees of 8 members. It currently has 7 members. The seven members include PM Modi, former Gujarat CM Keshubhai Patel, L K Advani, Home Minister Amit Shah, Harshavardhan Neotia, PK Laheri, GD Parmar. The current chairman of the trust is Keshubhai Patel. The Somnath Trust looks after the management of all the 64 temples. The trust also has 2,000 acres of land. Other responsibilities of the Trust are to collect donations and conduct all the work related to the temple.
