PM Modi calls all party meeting on January 30 over General Budget

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is to hold an all-party meeting on January 30 ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament. The all-party meeting will be held through video conferencing. The budget session of Parliament will begin on January 29. The general budget for the financial year 2021-22 will be presented to Parliament on February 1 during the session.

According to a statement issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the two-part budget session will continue till April 8. The first phase of the budget session will begin from January 29 and will continue till February 15, while the second part will run from March 8 to April 8. President Ram Nath Kovind will address a joint meeting of both the Houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on January 29 at 11 am. All guidelines relating to the Corona epidemic will be followed during Parliament's budget session. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will meet on January 30 ahead of the budget session of Parliament.

Earlier on Tuesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that all MPs will be requested to conduct corona probe before the budget session of Parliament and arrangements will be made in the Parliament premises from January 27. He said that during the budget session of Parliament beginning January 29, all precautionary rules like social distance and sanitization will be followed.
