New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a virtual meeting of chief ministers of all states on March 17 in view of rising cases of corona infection in the country. The virtual meeting will begin at 11 am on Wednesday morning. During the meeting, the chief ministers will be brainstorming on effective management of the vaccination program to deal with the corona epidemic among other subjects. Prime Minister Modi has held meetings with chief ministers several times during the crisis period of the corona epidemic through video conferencing and discussed strategies for the prevention of global epidemics. In the meeting to be held on 17th March, feedback and suggestions on the ground situation in the concerned States will be taken from the Chief Ministers. Based on the suggestions, a strategy will be devised to prevent the re-spread of corona infection cases in the country. 26,386 new cases of corona have been registered on Sunday. This is the highest figure of people being infected with coronavirus in the last 85 days. Currently, the number of corona cases active in the country is 2,19,262, while the total number of corona cases in the country is 1,13,85,339.
