New Delhi: In third phase of voting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived to vote in a polling booth in Gujarat's Ahmedabad this morning, riding in an open SUV instead of a his regulation bullet-proof vehicle, waving at huge crowds lining the streets. In what looked like a mini-roadshow, the open jeep drove in slowly. Surrounded by his bodyguards, PM Modi waved and folded his hands at people. BJP president Amit Shah and his family were present too. People in 13 states and two Union Territories have started to queue up to cast their ballots in Phase 3 of election 2019. Voting also kicked off in Tripura East, which was scheduled to take place in Phase 2 of polling on April 18; However, the Election Commission had deferred it to the third phase citing security concerns.
