PM Modi holds high-level meeting on Nagrota encounter

New Delhi: In the case of an encounter with terrorists in Nagrota of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a high-level meeting has been held under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. In this meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary along with officials of all intelligence agencies were present. It is being told that the terrorists were in the mood to execute any major attack on the 26/11 anniversary.

After the intelligence input, the security system was tightened in Nagrota area by the police and there was a tremendous search of vehicles at every block. Meanwhile, the soldiers stopped a truck heading towards Kashmir on the Srinagar-Jammu highway around 4.20 am for search. But the truck driver ran away from the car as soon as he stopped during checking.

When the security forces searched the truck, the terrorists hiding in it started firing. After firing, the terrorists fled towards the forest. Security forces chased the terrorists and retaliated. All four terrorists died in almost three hours of action by the Jabanj soldiers. The truck caught fire due to the firing. It was filled with ammunition on a large scale.
