Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi congratulates people on Lok Sabha elections

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing his radio programme Mann Ki Baat' on June 30 after the Lok Sabha elections are over.  Pm said, "After a long gap, we are releasing MannKiBaat, people's talk, public-mind talk. There was a lot of preoccupation with the election, but the fun of the mind was missing, feeling a lack. We used to talk as kin of 130 crore people.

Prime Minister Modi said, the mind is like a mirror for the country and the society. It is telling us that there is no lack of inner strength, strength, and talent within the countrymen. Referring to the State Of Emergency, Pm Modi said that when the State of Emergency was imposed in the country, the protest was not confined to political realm, not confined to politicians, to jail bars, the agitation was not reduced. There was an outrage in the hearts of the people. India can proudly say that for us, democracy beyond the rule of law is our sanskar, democracy is our culture, democracy is our heritage. And, in the Emergency, we had experienced and that is why the country had called for the protection of democracy, not for ourselves.

On the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi said the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were the largest democratic election in the world so far. You can imagine how much resources and manpower would have been needed in conducting such elections. The day-to-day efforts of millions of personnel could lead to the election. The military personnel also performed the hard work. He said, "I congratulate the Election Commission, and everybody involved in the election process, very much and salute the conscious voters of India.
