New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched several projects related to Namami Gange in Bihar. PM Modi said in his address that Bihar also has a big contribution in this work of nation-building, Bihar gives millions of engineers to give new heights to the development of the country. PM Modi said that the land of Bihar is synonymous with invention and innovation, many sons of Bihar reach the biggest engineering institutes of the country every year. PM Modi said "A period came when, instead of building basic facilities in Bihar, priorities and commitments changed. The focus shifted away in the state. As a result of this, the villages of Bihar fell behind and the infrastructure of cities which were once a symbol of prosperity could not be upgraded. He said that many basic problems such as roads, lanes, drinking water, sewerage, were either avoided or whenever the work started they got scammed". PM Modi said that when selfishness prevails over governance, the vote bank system starts to suppress the system, then the most impact is on the section of society which is oppressed, deprived and exploited. People of Bihar have endured this pain for decades. PM Modi said that for the past one and a half-decade, Nitish Ji, Sushil Ji and his team have been trying to bring back the confidence of the weakest section of the society. The way the education of daughters has been given priority to the participation of disadvantaged, exploited society in local bodies including Panchayati Raj, their confidence is increasing.
