Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi has discussed the phone with Sri Lankan President Gotbaiah Rajapaksa regarding Corona. PM Narendra Modi spoke to Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa on the phone about the corona epidemic.

They also talked about the health and economic effects of the global epidemic corona. PM Modi assured the Sri Lankan President that he will continue to provide all possible help to Sri Lanka to reduce the impact of the epidemic in India. President Rajapaksa told PM Modi about the steps being taken by his government to restore economic activities.

In this context, the two top leaders agreed on the need to expedite Indian aided development projects in Sri Lanka. During this time the two also discussed the possibilities of promoting investment and value-addition in Sri Lanka through the Indian private sector. Prime Minister Modi has also given his best wishes for the health of the people of Sri Lanka.
