New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country's largest 'Drone Festival' in the national capital today. During this time, the Prime Minister will also witness drone operations. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Bharat Drone Festival 2022, the country's largest drone festival, at 10 am on May 27 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Apart from this, the statement also said that the Prime Minister will also interact with farmer drone drivers, witness the operation of drones in the open and also interact with startups at the Drone Exhibition Centre. This program will last for two days and more than 1,600 people associated with government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, private companies and drone startups will participate in the event. According to the statement, more than 70 exhibitors will give information regarding various uses of drones in the exhibition. Apart from this, the statement also said that drone pilot certificates will be distributed through digital means, products will be inaugurated, there will be panel discussions, and operational shows and replicas of Made in India drone taxis will be shown. The information of this program has been tweeted by PM Modi. He wrote, "On May 27 at 10 am, I will be participating in the India Drone Festival 2022. The platform brings together key stakeholders, including startups, with an aim to increase India's presence in the region. I urge everyone interested in tech and innovation to watch the program. Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, "In the last five months, aviation regulator DGCA has recognised 23 institutes for training of drone pilots. He also said that the fee of the 'Drone Pilot Training Course' will be reduced in the next three-four months. The number of institutes conducting this course is going to increase, which will reduce the training fees.''
