New Delhi: PM Modi will inaugurate the Global Indian Scientific (Splendour) Summit on Gandhi Jayanti today. The conference provides a platform for international and overseas Indian researchers and academicians. A statement issued by the PMO said that the conference aims to bring veterans of Indian origin on a platform that deals with academic and research institutions across the world. PM Modi will launch the conference from October 2 to 31 through a video conference. In a tweet, Modi said, "I look forward to attending the Vaibhav Summit. The conference brings together global scientists and researchers of Indian origin. Join us at 6:30 pm on October 2." The conference will be attended by more than 3000 scientists, academicians, and over 10,000 overseas scientists and academicians from 55 countries. PM Modi has written to all Gram Pradhans and Sarpanchs to effectively implement the Jal Jeevan Mission. PM Modi has explained in the letter how the mission has made history with public participation. The mission will not only address the problem of water supply but also help in tackling water-borne diseases like cholera, dysentery, diarrhea, encephalitis, typhoid, etc. PM Modi has urged people and gram panchayats to make the Jal Jeevan Mission a mass movement.
