Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Meerut on Sunday to give a big boost to Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi will also meet the long-standing demand of sports universities in Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Khel University in Meerut on January 2 at a cost of around Rs 700 crore. The thinking behind setting up a sports university in Meerut is in line with PM Modi's vision of setting up world-class sports infrastructure in every part of the country. PM Narendra Modi and UP Governor Anandiben Patel along with CM Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the foundation stone laying ceremony. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister of State Dr Sanjeev Balyan, Minister of State Upendra Tiwari, Dinesh Khatik, Kapil Dev Agarwal, MP Rajendra Agarwal, Satyapal Singh will be among the other guests present on the occasion. PM Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the university for about 125 hours on January 2. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut at around 1 pm on Sunday with modern and excellent sports infrastructure. From then on, it will be ready in about two and a half years.
