PM Modi congratulates former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi on his 86th birthday

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated former Bharatiya Janata Party national president Murali Manohar Joshi on his 86th birthday, saying he made exemplary contributions as a minister as well as an MP. "Birthday greetings to @drmmjoshibjp Ji, one of India's senior-most and respected leaders. Throughout his life he has worked towards India's development," PM Modi tweeted.

PM Modi further wrote that 'He made exemplary contributions as a minister as well as an MP. Wish God to live long and healthy.' Let me tell you that Murali Manohar Joshi is the former national president of BJP and has also been a cabinet minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. Today, on the occasion of his birthday, PM Modi tweeted on his official Twitter and congratulated him and wished him to be healthy.

Murali Manohar Joshi left Varanasi his Lok Sabha seat for PM Narendra Modi and now he is included in the BJP's guiding board. The ancestral residence of Murali Manohar Joshi is the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Murali Manohar Joshi, one of the senior-most BJP leaders, was born on this day in 1934.
