PM Narendra Modi's Rousing Welcome by Indian Diaspora in Jakarta

Jakarta: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received an enthusiastic reception from the Indian expatriate community upon his arrival in Jakarta, Indonesia, for the ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit. It was noteworthy that the Prime Minister's arrival occurred at 3 o'clock in the morning.

As Prime Minister Modi entered his hotel in the Indonesian capital, the crowd could be heard chanting 'Modi, Modi,' waving Indian flags with palpable excitement. The Prime Minister graciously acknowledged their greetings with folded hands and took the time to shake hands with those present, including men, women, and children.

The hotel where the Prime Minister and his delegation would be staying was adorned with the colors of the Indian flag on its walls, creating a patriotic ambiance.

In a gesture of warm hospitality, members of the Indian expatriate community organized a cultural performance in honor of the Prime Minister.

Expressing his gratitude, Prime Minister Modi took to his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), to convey his appreciation: "An unforgettable welcome by the Indian community in Jakarta. Here are some moments to cherish."

The Prime Minister's stay in Jakarta is brief as he is scheduled to return to India on Wednesday evening to participate in the G20 Summit meetings, where he will engage with world leaders in New Delhi.
