As soon as we hear the name of the national poet Maithili Sharan Gupt, we remember his national love and patriotic poems. Today is his 56 death anniversary. Maithili Sharan Gupt was born on August 3, 1886, at Jhansi and was addressed in the literary world with the name 'Dadda'. He is considered as one of the most effective and popular creators of Hindi literature. In his poems, the plot of Buddhist philosophy, Mahabharata and Ramayana comes automatically. The creator of the standing dialect Hindi, Maithili Sharan Gupt, started writing poems from the age of 12. In 59 years, Gupt Ji has provided about 74 compositions to Hindi, including two epics, 17 lyrics, 20 volume poetry, four plays and lyricist. Mahatma Gandhi gave him the distinction of being called the national poet. The Government of India had also given them Rajya Sabha membership twice in view of their services.
