Police raids on illegal liquor, constable injured

A police constable has been injured in a countryside bomb blast during a raid against selling illicit liquor near Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This information has been given by the police on Wednesday.

In his statement, the police further said that Senthil Kumar, who is associated with the prohibition enforcement wing of the rural police, was injured in the blast, he suffered minor injuries during this period. Police further said that after receiving information about the sale of illicit liquor, a team of the branch raided on Tuesday evening at a farmhouse in Athikuttai in Kuppanur village.

During this period some of the domestic animals used to kill wild boars were recovered, out of which a constable was injured by a bomb explosion.
