OXFORDSHIRE: Pop superstar George Michael dies 'peacefully in his bed' at his Oxfordshire home at the age of 53 on Sunday afternoon. Popstar Michael was found in his bed and his former manager said he died as a result of 'heart failure' and police have announced that they are not treating the musician's death as suspicious. The singer - who sold more than 100million records with band Wham! and during a hugely successful solo career - is said to have passed away at his property in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire on Christmas Day afternoon. Celebrities have paid tribute to star online with pal Elton John calling him the 'kindest, most generous soul'. On Instagram, Sir Elton John posted a photograph of himself with Michael, writing: "I am in deep shock. I have lost a beloved friend - the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist. My heart goes out to his family and all of his fans."
