According to the information received, Pope Francis has given a worldwide prayer to defeat the coronavirus. He said on Sunday that he will give blessings to the city and the world (Urbi et Orbi) on Friday this week. They usually offer this blessing at Christmas and Easter.

It is also being said that Pope Francis made this unexpected announcement in his weekly Angelus message which is being broadcast from inside the Vatican through internet and television instead of being presented to the devotees in St. Peters Square.
