Bangalore: Posters mocking former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) chief HD Kumararaswamy have surfaced in various locations across Bengaluru. This development follows Kumararaswamy's recent allegations against Karnataka Congress chief and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, claiming that Shivakumar used to screen adult films in theaters he operated. Shivakumar dismissed the accusations, stating that Kumararaswamy had lost his mental balance. Speaking at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office in Bengaluru, Shivakumar clarified that he used to run touring talkies named after Indira Gandhi, with several movie tents in different locations. He invited the media to visit one of the theaters and verify the type of movies being screened. The posters carry messages such as "Pen Driver Brother: Produced by power thief Kumaraswamy. Why are you so tense just for a teaser? The movie is yet to be released." In one of the posters, Kumararaswamy is referred to as the 'director of Innocent fame power thief,' and the film is described as 'electricity thief fame HDK produced film.' The posters also sarcastically ask why there is tension about the teaser when the full movie is yet to be released. This incident comes on the heels of last week's posters that labeled Kumararaswamy an 'electricity thief' near his residence. This followed a power theft case registered against him by the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) after viral videos alleged that the former Chief Minister had illegally connected Diwali lights at his home to a nearby power line. Kumararaswamy responded, stating that he was unaware of the power theft, as he had assigned the task to a contractor and had paid a fine of Rs 68,526 to Bescom.
