In the Magnum opus sequence of Baahubali, the lead actor of film Prabhas is portraying the double role of 'Shivudu' and 'Baahubali'. For the role, the actor had to maintained two body types. As the character of Baahubali is comparatively bulky, then he put on weight up to 105 kgs. While for Shivudu, he had to loss to be 86 to 88 kgs. Reveals a source, “He had to follow a different diet for both. For Shivudu, it was a low calories diet consisting of six meals a day with zero carbs, high proteins like egg whites and chicken and good fats (nuts). He had to have lesser fat as he needed to have a chiselled body. The lesser fat percentage the more toned and chiselled one’s body looks. For his workout, he had to do heavy cardio twice a day morning and evening which included weight training. But as Baahubali he had to follow a heavy calories diet which includedeight to nine meals a day and a workout which included heavy weight training and less cardio, just once a day.” Laxman who trained Prabhas added, “For the last four years, I feel like I have been living with Prabhas. After a hectic shoot day too, even though it would be 11 pm, Prabhas wouldn’t miss his workout. He’s one of the most dedicated and committed people I have worked with. He completely gave himself to his role as Baahubali.” He further said, “Prabhas has done risky things for his role and even though the team would take all precautions, he has had some injuries. But that did not stop him.
